day 225 - Bible in a year

JEREMIAH 49:1-33, 2KINGS 24:5-7, 2CHRONICLES 36:6-8, 2KINGS 24:8-9, 2CHRONICLES 36:9, JEREMIAH 22:24-23:32

  • footnote: Jeremiah 49:6 As complete and continuous as the desolation of Moab and Ammon was for so many long centuries, yet God is keeping His word for their restoration "in the latter days" (Jer. 48:47) in a remarkable manner. For instance, Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (formerly called Transjordania, and in Bible times the ancient Rabbah of Ammon), was a mere village in 1900, but by 1960 it was a city of 200,000 inhabitants. One can only stand in awe and reverent amazement at the precision with which the prophecies of the Word of God are being carried out in the present day and age.
  • Jer 23:22But if they had stood in My council, then they would have caused My people to hear My words, then they would have turned them [My people] from their evil way and from the evil of their doings.
23Am I a God at hand, says the Lord, and not a God afar off?
24Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? says the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.
